Central Texas Young Farmers Coalition (CTYFC) has a mission to support young and beginning farmers in Central Texas through education, connection and advocacy. We are a grass-roots, volunteer-led coalition organized by active and former young farmers who volunteer their time to educate, connect, and advocate on behalf of young, beginning, and aspiring farmers in Central Texas. We envision a collaborative and diverse farming community through which young and beginning farmers make a living as a key component in agricultural production and ecological stewardship.

The biggest pillar of our work is to provide resources and advocate for the next generation of growers, producers, and land stewards in this state.

CTYFC understands the need for more workers entering the farming profession. Increasing the number of young farmers in Texas will be instrumental in increasing food security and awareness, curbing carbon emissions, and building a stronger relationship between local food and local economies. By banding together and supporting one another, we can help create a positive environment for young farmers to network, exchange ideas, and become better farmers.

“Together we can build the farm future we deserve.”

CTYFC is part of the National Young Farmers Coalition (NYFC), connecting us to a national policy voice. The National Young Farmers Coalition is a national grassroots advocacy organization working to shift power and change policy to equitably resource our new generation of working farmers. We envision a just future where farming is free of racial violence, accessible communities, oriented towards environmental well being, and concerned with health over profit.
